My office is sponsoring the 2012 12th Congressional District Grants Conference on June 18, 2012 in the Student Union at North Carolina A&T State University from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This conference is designed to provide local government agencies, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations with a detailed breakdown of the grant acquisition process. The conference will provide information on the programs offered by federal agencies, the intricacies of the application process and tools for locating and researching federal funding opportunities. The sessions will feature representatives from several federal agencies. Participating agencies are U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
